Hello Everybody

I just wanted to stop by & say that I am sorry for not being on here in a long time or checking in on your blogs. I have really fallen in love with the whole photography thing & where me moved to I can’t get internet service. It’s really hard to keep up with 2 blogs when I can only get on at work during my lunch break. I am sure that I am better at taking pictures than I am at writing so I have kinda let this one take the backseat for a while now. I really miss it & all of you great people, but have to concentrate on my photography one for now since I have limited time. I have also gotten my 1st Iphone a little over a month ago & am taking pictures with it for Instagram. It is so much fun. Between getting out & taking pictures, editing them & trying to get them posted, it pretty much takes up all of my interent time. Once again I am so sorry & would hope that you would come check out my pictures on Obrienspix (it’s listed in my blog roll). Also, would love to have you follow me on Instagram if you use it. I use the name Obrienspix there too. I hope to get back on here sometime soon & get back in touch with you all. Hope you have beeen doing good & I miss ya.

Write Wednesdays

For a while now I have been trying to think of a good weekly feature to do on here. I tried the “Movie Review” thing, but don’t get to watch movies the way I used to so it just kinda fell to the wayside. I have decided to try this…I know we all get stuck, in a funk, or writer’s block from time to time. So, on each Wednesday I’m gonna try to post an idea for you to take & use. I might come up with some good things that would be tough for me, but some of you may be able to run with it. I don’t mean you have to wait til Wednesday to write your post (do it whenever you feel it)…just check back here each Wednesday if you get stuck to look for something new. I may or may not participate, just really want to give out ideas. I would like for you to come back here to the post you get the idea from & leave a comment with a link to your post so all of my readers can come check it out. I may have some readers that you might not have & this could bring you some new ones. That being said…let’s get this rolling.

Had A Cool Weekend Planned

But it didn’t turn out the way I wanted it too. As you all probably know by now, my wife & I had a new baby boy born back on December the 21st. My mom was able to babysit my two daughters while they were growing up. Hell, she even retired from work when my 1st one was born (22 years ago) just so nobody else could watch her. Now, her mom is 98 now so her & her sister (my aunt) take turns taking care of her. She stays with one of them for 4 months & then goes to the other for 4 months. My mom’s time was while my son was born & all the way til Febuary the 1st. So she has not been able to see our son very much. A bunch of people were planning a big 4-wheeler ride this past Saturday night so my mom & dad came down to spend the weekend with us & to see Keegan. They were gonna watch him so we could go riding. What started the weekend off rough was that my Grizzlies lost to the Thunder on Friday night. Got that over with & was waiting to go riding on Saturday. Well, it rained from like 4:00 in the morning til like 2:00 in the afternoon so everybody that was gonna go riding backed out. We get muddy anyway & it had stopped by the time we were gonna go, so I still wanted to go. It’s not as much fun by yourself because you can’t really try trails that you don’t know in case you get stuck. We do have a winch, but it does no good if you aren’t close to trees to hook it to.

Anyway, we didn’t get to go riding this time. My wife hasn’t gotten to go much either because of recouping from having our son so she was really excited about going too. So, on to the next thing….I cooked steaks on the grill for mom & dad & us Saturday night. Mom & my wife played with Keegan all night while dad & I played some Kinect golf. Going to bed that night knowing that on Sunday we had the Grizzlies-Celtics to watch Sunday morning & the nthe Super Bowl last night. Well, the Grizzlies got beat bad again so that sucked. I’m really tired of the Patriots being in it, but was pulling for them because I hate the Giants (I’m a lifelong Cowboys fan). Basically all of my games went wrong & we didn’t get to go riding. It was still a good weekend though having mom & dad down & for her to get to spend time with Keegan. Just wish the games would have gone the way I wanted. I won’t bore you all any longer. Yall Knew I Wouldn’t Go Through With It

Ok, a little while back I posted about trying to get in shape with our XBOX Kinect. Here is my update to it. I’m not gonna do it….lol. I have never enjoyed working out…it bores the crap out of me. I love playing XBOX, but the games I mostly like on this Kinect (that we have anyway) are golf, bowling, & darts. You only have to use your arms on them so it might be tough to get in shape. There are some fun games besides that we have but they do take alot of energy. Track n Field…you really have to run in place to make your person run. Same thing with baseball…if you don’t hit a homerun, you have to run to first base. It’s great if you want to do what I said…I’m just not into it. I made the post hoping it would make me stick to it, but I would rather throw some darts, bowl, or shoot a 6 under in golf & drink my beer. Sorry, it has taken me so long to update you on nothing.
